CHARACTER DESIGN WORKSHOP WITH FABIO TONETTO
A character design (i.e. the creation of characters, protagonists of illustrations, comics or animations) workshop that Fabio Tonetto titled: Donald Duck & Mickey Mourse = WRONG. Cinderella and Sponge Bob = zOK. The aim of the workshop is to explore the boundaries of the universes to which the characters are usually bound, providing the participants with a series of prompts and sparks to create something completely new, original, personal. The cue to begin is right under our nose.

Target: 16 and older

Aquatic videoactive!
Water is the natural element associated with fun and games; a matter that offers the possibility of experiencing pleasant feelings, of learning and exploring. Water is also affectivity, emotion, memory... Playing with the point of view displacement and the loss of proportional references allowed by the camera, we'll create liquid illusions with closed circuit TV.

MASTERCLASS WITH FILMMAKER AND ANIMATOR ŠPELA ČADEŽ
The protagonist of this year's animation film focus at Bergamo Film Meeting 2018 is Špela Čadež. Born in 1977, after experimenting with different techniques the Slovenian filmmaker has made puppet animation her trademark. Her latest production is an animated promo for the Netflix hit series Orange is the New Black. A real challenge, production-wise: a single month of filming resulting in a 4-minute long animation with 21 characters, resembling the actors from the series, moving on 22 miniature sets. The masterclass will also include the screening of the author's whole filmography.

The masterclass will be held in English, with Italian translation.

MASTERCLASS WITH BARBARA ALBERT
The masterclass will be held by the Viennese filmmaker, protagonist of one of this year's festival focus in the Europe, Now! section. Co-founder of the Austrian Film Academy, vice president of the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg in Berlin Potsdam, Barbara Albert achieved international visibility in 1999 with her debut feature film Nordrand (Northern Skirts), presented in the competition at the Venice Film Festival. A filmmaker, writer, actress and co-founder of the coop99 and CALA Film production companies, she's one of the most acclaimed personalities of Austrian cinema.

The masterclass will be held in English, with Italian translation, and will be open to the public.

SILKSCREEN PRINTING THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL WORKSHOP
Back by popular demand and promoted by Corpoc, print studio based in Bergamo, the workshop is aimed at graphic artists, illustrators or even just aficionados. During the two available hours, the stages of screenprinting will be explained in detail: from the frame to the chosen surface.
