7915 KM

Directed by Nikolaus Geyrhalter
Austria / 2008 / 106'

The film follows the trails of the 2007 Dakar Rally, from Morocco to Senegal, for a total 7915 km. Investigating the different facets of today’s Africa, the film also presents the ideal distance between Europe and Africa, as well as the mutual diffidence and the cultural prejudices brought about by financial and political relationships. During the rally, the camera meets men, women and children and records moments from their everyday life, including their worries, joys, and hopes.
