A gunshot is heard from behind an apartment door, at the end of a corridor. It is a murder? A suicide? An accident, perhaps? Nadine, Roger and their son Laurent live in that apartment. Nadine is a policewoman. Roger is depressed after an injury. He spends the day at home, drinking. Laurent is supposed to go to school but often plays hooky. What happened in their apartment? The film tells this story from three different points of view.
