Ana lives in a small village close to the sea, in the Algarve, with her husband and daughter. Her marriage is in a difficult situation, and when her husband decides to leave for a few days, she takes the chance to complete a job she had been attending to for a long time. During her promenades, Ana encounters a series of chance events: she runs into her former lover, saves a stranger from a sea accident, meets a young local couple and is visited by her friend Vera. From that very moment, everything changes.
