Two little girls are born in Monstar the same day, in November 9th 1993. That day, the most important bridge of the city is destroyed. The two girls never meet since they grow up in the two parts of the divided town. One of them is Croatian, the other one is Bosnian. The director follows the two girls until the 23th of July, 2004, the day the bridge is open again.
