Jarmila moves with her husband Václav from lively Prague to the tranquility of the countryside to live out their final years. Shortly after, however, Václav dies of cancer, leaving her alone. In his will, he entrusts her with an unexpected gift: Buko, an old circus horse that she must now care for. This gift marks the beginning of a new life for Jarmila. With the help of Tereza, an autistic girl, and the neighbors Karel, Jarmila learns to bond with Buko and transform her daily life. To do so, she must confront her own feelings and stop hiding behind the daily routine and trivial television programs.
