Orphaned and with little money in her pocket, Nina wanders around Berlin with her new friend Toni, a petty thief who lives day by day. During their roaming, they come across Françoise, an enchanting and wealthy French woman, who believes she has recognized in Nina her daughter, kidnapped in 1989 when she was three years old. Perhaps Nina has found a true friend in Toni. Perhaps Françoise is really her mother. Or perhaps it’s all just a fantasy.
