José Miguel Ribeiro, Portuguese director and animator, presents his first animated feature Nayola during a masterclass which is open to all and particularly suitable for animation enthusiasts and students.
«We organised all the material from the creative process of the film to make a digital book where we share production and artistic details. Nayola is based on a theatre play written by two African writers and produced by an international team composed by Portuguese, French, Belgians, Dutch and Angolan. All the actors are from Angola, where we made the voice recording. I worked with the actors to rewrite all the dialogues and include some personal stories from them in the film. It was quite a new working process for me and I would be glad to share it!»
Nayola will be screened on Friday, March 15th at 2:30PM, at Sala dell’Orologio for BFM 42 audience. The masterclass will take place afterwards, at 4PM: for those who wish to participate exclusively in the masterclass, the admission is free. Booking is recommended! Write to [email protected].
