François is a young boy passionate about Captain Joshua Slocum, the navigator and writer who, between 1985 and 1989, was the first to circumnavigate the globe solo. We are in France, in the early 1950s, and François finds himself helping his father who is building a boat in his backyard. But this is not only the story of a titanic feat, it is also and above all the story of the relationship between a father and a son, of how sometimes it is complicated to share one’s feelings.
