Surrealist, subversive and irreverent, it is the rewriting of the history of Robinson Crusoe and the colonial myth of the white man bearer of civilization. A critical and poetic reversal of Defoe’s novel that offers a concrete and political vision of imperialism through a cast entirely composed of black actresses. The fascinating visual code and dreamlike landscapes embellish the film, combining the anthropocentric gaze with a pulsating animal and vegetable universe.
