A small town in the East of GermanyIt is the night of June 16, 2004. Based on a true event, the film tells the story of five people over the 24 hours prior to what happened: Karsten and Till, Steffi (Till’s girlfriend), Heinrich (the bar owner) and Günther (the policeman). They all share fear, resignation, anger and aggressiveness towards the weak. This is the story of five “normal” German people living in a state of apathy and mediocrity.
