EVILENKO
Evilenko by David Grieco (Italy 2004, 106 ‘)
Soviet Union, 1984: elementary school teacher Andreij Evilenko (Malcolm McDowell) is fired after an attempted rape on a girl. Over time, he proves to be a ruthless serial killer with cannibalistic tendencies, leaving behind a long trail of deaths.
Based on the novel Il comunista che mangiava i bambini (The Communist Who Ate Children), written by director David Grieco and in turn inspired by the life of Andrej Romanovič Čikatilo (known as the Rostov monster, who raped and murdered over 55 children between the end of the 70s and the early 90s), the film is a suspenseful drama with disturbing and almost horrifying atmospheres.
The film will be introduced by Andrea Chimento.
Free admission for Cinetessera 2020 holders.
In collaboration with Fondazione Cineteca Milano and LongTake.
