BFM 36 preview at Cartoni Animati in Corsia al cinema!

Wednesday, 24/01/2018, there is a double appointment at Cinema Nuovo Eden in Brescia at 17.30 and 20.30 with ”Cartoni animati in corsia al cinema!“‘. This event is organized by Associazione Avisco – Audiovisivo Scolastico, and it offers animated films made by the children from the Ospedale dei Bambini from Brescia. This is the fifth edition of this project, and during that day all the guests have the chance to watch all the movies and meet the authors and their families, their teachers from the project Scuola in Ospedale and the medical staff. It is an opportunity to watch all movies realized during 2017 and made by the young patients.

During the event, Bergamo Film Meeting will show a previw of a short film made by the animator guest of this edition BFM36!

Cartoons in wards is a project by Avisco Association in collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Brescia and it consists in offering to hospitalized children and youngsters, the opportunity to attend animation workshops in order to create their own cartoon using stop motion technique.
The Bill of rights of little girls and boys in hospital establishes that every sick child or adolescent has the right to receive an education. Furthermore, it is important and desirable to offer them the opportunity to attend non-formal education courses to bring them closer to art and culture, also using new technologies.
The audiovisual workshop is structured in order to create a exciting work area that can bring out the potentiality of young people through experiences designed to increase self-esteem, operating and expressive success and personal gratification.

Specific goals

• Encourage through the workshop experience, a serene and active attitude that contributes to a faster healing, or at least, can support the course of the disease.
• Facilitate the process of symbolization linked to the chilldren’ story and their inner world through the use of technological tools integrated into a path of artistic practice.
• Fill the gap of proposals with high technological content, offering patients the opportunity to use the audiovisual language and the new technologies to stimulate a conscious and creative relationship with the television and the massmedia information.
• Increase and diversify the activities offered both during summer school break and during the school year in hospital, conceived also as a resource for teachers and educators.
• Provide opportunities for socialization that allow patients to meet, play and confront each other.
• Diffuse and value the results of the workshop not only within the hospital, but also in the local community, in town and at a national and international level.
