Three old friends meet up for a school reunion and, after taking stock of their lives, realise how dominated they have been by the needs and demands of their respective husbands. To get a taste of freedom, they decide to go on a short holiday and party, away from work and family. The film is a delightful and ironic look at how a generation of women began to rebel against social beliefs and gender expectations.
