A Bergamo Film Meeting project
in collaboration with con GAMeC | Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo, Birrificio Indipendente Elav, FIC – Federazione Italiana Cineforum e Cineforum.
An excursus on how the relationship between viewer and moving image has changed, from the invention moving pictures to digital cinema, passing through the various evolutions and the various phases of the film history (not necessarily in chronological order). From the audience’s panicked reaction at the Lumière brothers’ first film screening to the “deceptions” of 3D and visual effects; from Méliès’ journey to the Moon to the space opera of Star Wars; from the precision of classic cinema and its codified genres to the mechanics of laughter or its opposites, such as tears or fear.
A film critic and journalist, ROBERTO MANASSERO works as a selector at the Turin Film Festival, collaborates with “Film TV”, with “Cineforum”, with the online magazine “Doppiozero” and “Minima et moralia”. He has published a book on Hitchcock, one on Hollywood melodrama and an essay on Psycho included in a volume on Gus Van Sant.
Accompagneranno il corso due degustazioni di birra artigianale a cura del Birrificio Indipendente Elav.
